1. What exactly does BespokeAbility Travel do?

We curate seamless, tailor-made adventures—whether that’s a champagne-soaked Galápagos expedition cruise, a Douro Valley river voyage, or a chic long weekend at a boutique hotel in Napa. From premium cruise lines and luxury resorts to private guides and 24/7 concierge support, we choreograph every detail so your trip feels as if the world politely rearranged itself around you.

2. Why use a travel advisor instead of booking online myself?

Time is the ultimate luxury. We invest ours so you can spend yours savoring the view, not juggling tabs and reviews. Because of long-standing partnerships, our clients enjoy VIP perks—suite upgrades, ship-board credits, priority embarkation, surprise amenities—and, more importantly, a human advocate who is “always on” should plans change unexpectedly.

3. How do travel agent get paid?

When we book travel on your behalf, the travel supplier pays us a standard commission—at no additional cost to you. In fact, that commission is already built into the price whether you book directly or through a travel advisor. The difference? When you book with BespokeAbility Travel, that value goes toward expert planning, personal support, and added perks—instead of staying with the supplier.

Our $99 design fee acknowledges you are retaining BespokeAbility Travel for time spent researching and planning your upcoming vacation. This fee includes research, cruise/resort/villa selection, itinerary, dining selections, tours, transportation and up to 3 quote revisions for one trip. This also covers our time to make sure we are compensated if you choose not to book with us.

4. Can you arrange flights?

Yes—when they are part of a broader itinerary we’re designing. We do not issue stand-alone air tickets. Within a full trip, domestic or economy-class tickets incur a $25 per-person ticketing fee, while international premium-cabin tickets are complimentary. All air tickets are issued directly by the airline; BespokeAbility Travel acts solely as agent and is not the merchant of record.

5. What kinds of cruises and accommodations do you book?

From all-suite river vessels and mid-sized luxury ocean ships to over-water villas in the Maldives and chic city hideaways, BespokeAbility Travel can secure virtually any upscale property or cruise line on the planet—and we personally know the GMs and ship concierges who will greet you by name.

6. Do you plan trips for families, groups, solo travelers, or celebrations?

Absolutely. Whether it’s a multi-gen villa in Tuscany, a milestone birthday on an AmaWaterways river ship, or a solo wellness retreat in Bali, we customize pacing, privacy, and wow-factor to each traveller.

7. How does payment work?

We collect your card details through a secure, encrypted payment portal and charge vetted suppliers on your behalf, keeping your data protected while ensuring seamless transactions.

8. Should I purchase travel insurance?

We strongly recommend comprehensive coverage for trip interruption, medical care, and lost luggage; we’ll present reputable options and help you choose a plan that fits your itinerary.

9. What if I need to change or cancel my trip?

Life happens. We will help you through the process with every supplier, advocating for you while you carry on with your day. Cancellation and change penalties may still apply.

10. Are you available while I’m traveling?

You’ll receive a 24/7 emergency contact number in your travel documents—please use this if something urgent arises during your trip. We monitor your journey in real time and will step in as soon as we identify an emergency issue. For general questions or non-urgent requests, feel free to email us or message via the trip app; we’ll respond during business hours based on our time zone here in Greenville, SC.

11. Can you accommodate dietary, mobility, or other special requirements?

Of course, this is our specialty! From sourcing kosher kitchens on safari to arranging wheelchair-friendly staterooms, we design with your needs in mind and brief every partner before you arrive.

12. Do I need to schedule a discovery call?

Yes. A brief intake conversation is essential to tailor your trip perfectly. Phone or video calls work for most clients; if you’re local to the Greenville, Simpsonville, or Spartanburg, SC area, we’ll happily meet over coffee in person at any time.

13. What am I responsible for in this process?

As your trusted travel advisor, we handle the details—but there are a few important responsibilities on your end to help ensure a smooth, stress-free journey.

  • Act promptly: Pricing and availability are dynamic until deposits are paid; review and accept proposals swiftly to lock in space and rates.

  • Verify accuracy: When you receive any travel documents—airline tickets, cruise confirmations, passports, visas—review every detail immediately and notify us of corrections.

  • Keep documents current: Ensure passports are valid for at least six months beyond your return date and obtain any required visas, health screenings, or vaccinations.

  • Meet payment schedules: Late or missed payments can trigger supplier cancellation or penalty fees.

  • Carry proper ID: The name on your government ID must exactly match your tickets to avoid boarding issues.

  • Respect supplier terms: Adhere to behaviour guidelines, local laws, and any security measures imposed by airlines, cruise lines, or hotels.

  • Additional details can be found on our Terms and Conditions page
